Drivers Education

Classroom Instruction:

Driver Education includes 8 hours of classroom instruction.  We offer classes on the 1^st and 3^rd Saturday of each month.  Class begins promptly at 8 am and ends at 4pm.  If a student arrives late, they may be asked to reschedule for another day.  Lunch is provided.  Payment can be made prior to the start of class.  Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to class if you need to make payment that day.

Teen Classroom Topics Include:

• Understanding signs, signals, & roadway markings
• Vehicle control & managing risk
• Negotiating intersections & sharing the roadway
• Driving in urban traffic, rural areas, & interstate
• Driving in inclement weather & handling emergencies
• Effects of alcohol & drugs on driving
• Distracted driving and the dangers of texting and driving
• Basic vehicle maintenance
• and other topics …

Permit testing can be scheduled day of class.  Testing occurs after 4pm.  In order to take the Permit Test, Student will need a birth certificate and a photo id (school id or passport are acceptable).
